Access ZDF children and youth programming on the go.

The ZDFtivi app provides access to a wide range of popular children's series and films from the ZDFtivi and KiKA programs on your mobile device. Like all ZDF online offerings, the ZDFtivi app is free of charge and ad-free, with no in-app purchases.
The app is available for smartphones, tablets, and Android TV.

ZDFtivi app for smartphone and tablet

- Extensive public VOD offering with entire programs: children's television classics (e.g. Löwenzahn, 1, 2 oder 3, logo!, PUR+), successful series (e.g. Mako – Einfach Meerjungfrau, Jungs WG, Mädchen WG, Bibi Blocksberg, JoNaLu, Meine Freundin Conni, Biene Maja, Heidi), fairy tales and children's films
- Watch offline: almost all children's program content can be watched offline. Videos can be saved for longer trips and watched regardless of network connections.
- Create a profile for each child: very convenient without registration or login. You can easily switch between profiles in the app.
- Age-appropriate access: choose ZDFchen mode (content for children up to 6 years) or ZDFtivi mode (all content without restrictions)
- Parents' area: set app usage times, edit and delete profiles (multiple profiles can be created per device) and edit privacy settings.
- Chromecast function
- Watchlist: Under "My ZDFtivi" or "My ZDFchen" you'll find your watchlist, as well as content and programs saved for offline viewing. As soon as there's new content for the saved programs, it will be displayed in "My ZDFtivi."

The following access permissions are required

- Phone: for offline mode of the app
- Phone statistics/ID: to read the Android version of the device (for Chromecast)
- Network status/Wi-Fi status: for Chromecast and to display offline mode
- Overlay other apps: required for Chromecast
- Prevent standby mode: to prevent the app from going into standby or activating the screen saver while a video is playing

General information

- The ZDFtivi app is free, ad-free, and without in-app purchases, like all ZDF online offerings.
- The app is a safe space for children. Comments (optional) are reviewed by the ZDFtivi team and only published after moderation.
- A flat rate is recommended for use outside of a Wi-Fi network, as otherwise high connection costs may apply.
